Sewing is affordable again

Swanson’s is my dream, and I hope it is yours too. We aim to make sewing with high-quality fabrics an affordable activity, and to help people with too much find a way to pass their stashes on to people who will use them. Please read more about Swanson’s and our mission on our About page.

Good things to know

Our inventory is 100% made up of donations from the well-loved stashes of home sewers.

Our mission is to make sewing more accessible using the abundance around us. This means things like skipping excessive (and expensive) packaging materials in favor of reusing what we have on hand.

You can shop in-store or online!

Everyone is welcome to visit us at The Stash House, 320 Avenue a, Turners Falls, MA 01376, Wednesday - Sunday, 11 am - 5 pm.

We always have tons of fabric on the website, and we drop new goodies weekly.

Stash House Members get the first look on Wednesdays at 8:00 pm Eastern; on Thursdays at 8:00 pm, everything is made live to the public.

Local Students and Teachers are Pay what you need.

These fabrics and supplies are donated to us by people who had the foresight to hold on to the best of the best! Our way of honoring that gift is to get them to the people who will love them. We also want to encourage as many people as possible to be practicing these arts!
